Artist Collection

Christine Tyler Hill is a Vermont artist known for her whimsical, organic illustrations. As Front Porch Forum informally marks 25 years since the very first Five Sisters Forum, we commissioned this piece to celebrate FPF in a visual way.

In the artwork, you'll notice some common themes that you likely read in your local forum. And, you might note some Best of FPF references, as well!

Matthew Perry is an artist from North Bennington, co-founder of the Vermont Arts Exchange, with a long legacy of sharing his talent through cartoons (“Cyrus & Ida"  appeared weekly for 20 years in the Vermont News Guide and Manchester Journal), paintings, and sculptures. Donating this cartoon to Front Porch Forum, he says, "I hope it brings the joy and chuckles to others as our communities need this more than ever....to quote the Reader's Digest that I grew up with in my families bathroom, 'Laughter is the Best Medicine.'"
